Hello Swans!

 

Hope you're all ok :) So sad we're not in school together today... I have listed some learning activities for you to complete below - ENJOY! 

 

Make sure you get lots of sun in your garden today... it's going to be a lovely day.

English - WOW: to write a big write using Year 3 writing skills.

 

Use the picture and story starter to finish writing the story. Type the story up or write it down on a piece of paper. Send it into the Swans' email account if you'd like some feedback and learning tickets! :)

 

You should aim to include the following two Year 3 writing skills:

 

COMPOUND SENTENCES - Use the  FANBOYS conjunctions to join simple sentences together... for, and, nor, but, or, yet, so

COMPLEX SENTENCES - Use the I SAW A WABUB conjunctions to link your ideas together... if, since, as, when, although, while, after, before, until, because *REMEMBER - I SAW A WABUB conjunctions can go at the beginning or the middle of a sentence to link ideas.

 

CHALLENGE: How many compound and complex sentences can you include in your writing today?

 

Maths - WOW: to be able to tell the time using 24 hour clocks.

Spellings - WOW: to practise and learn the SUMMER Year 3 CEW.
