AIM HIGH BELIEVE, FLY HIGH ACHIEVE

Badger Group

This week we will continue to recap on all of the sounds covered so far - s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, ff, l, ll, ss, j, v, w, x, y, z, qu, sh, ch, th, ng, ai, ee, igh, oa, oo, ar, or, ur, ow, oi, ear, air, ure, er. Regular practise of all of these phonemes will help the children to retain them so that they can be recalled readily for reading and writing. This weeks focus tricky word is: all.

This week we have been working on forming simple sentences. Using the farm picture attached, see if you can write some simple sentences containing the following key words: sheep, chicken, farmer, farmyard. Remember to say your sentence before you write it to check that it makes sense, then have a go at writing it independently, just write down the sounds that you hear in order. We do not expect the words to all be spelt correctly, just use your phonics and have a go. Remember to use a capital letter and full stop. Good luck laugh
