DAILY EXPECTED WORK:

  • 20 minutes reading and 20 minutes practicing times tables ( maybe on TT ROCKSTARS)

 

ENGLISH: Classic Poetry

WALT: use cues and word clues in a poem to complete the sentences in a verse. 

ACTIVITY 1

Below is a poem called THE EAGLE. There are some words from the poem missing.

Use the information given to you in the poem to try and choose words to complete the lines in the verses.

 

 

ACTIVITY 2

When you are finished, look at the completed version of the poem below. How do your word ideas compare to the poets?

ACTIVITY 3

Listen to the video recording of the poem and begin to try to learn the poem word for word.

 

MATHEMATICS: Multiplication

WALT: multiply 3 numbers together.

SCIENCE: States of Matter

This week, we are starting our new science topic all about STATES OF MATTER (Solids, liquids and gases).

  • Read the power point below
  •  watch the video
  • choose the 1 star, 2 star or 3 star activity to complete.

 (If you completed this work in class yesterday, instead of the activities above, draw 3 columns on a piece of paper and give EACH column the titles: SOLID, LIQUID, GASES. Then, write as many of each type of state of matter that you can think of or can find around your house.
