This week we will be working on reading the tricky words: were, there, little, one.
We will then be focusing on writing two syllable words with adjacent consonants. In school we will start with the two syllable word and then make a slash between the two syllables e.g. lunch/box. We then sound talk the first syllable and blend it - l-u-n-ch - 'lunch'. Next we sound talk the second syllable - b-o-x - 'box'. You could repeat this activity at home with the words: helpdesk, windmill, treetop, starlight, desktop, sandwich, sandpit.
You will find some resources below to support or reinforce this learning.
