The Enormous Turnip
The children have been learning the traditional tale 'The Enormous Turnip'. We have re-read the story, worked on recall and sequencing. We talked about the characters and used actions to support our retells. As a class we created a story map. The children have also been using role-play and small world activities to develop their comprehension skills. We painted turnip and used language related to size.
