AIM HIGH BELIEVE, FLY HIGH ACHIEVE

Friday 5th June 2020

Remember your Joe Wicks exercise plan. Can the family do it with you today?

Good morning Puffins,

How are you all? Well we have had a very different week. Some Puffins have been learning at home, some Puffins have been learning in school and at home, and some Puffins have been in school all week. It does not matter where you did your learning just as long as you tried you best.

Well another week has flown by and we are at Friday again. Have you all had a green week? I am sure you have.

Don’t forget to watch Mrs Lamond’s weekly message as she has some merits to give out.

For your learning today:

English: Today we are going to practise our handwriting. You need to work on correct letter formation and correct letter size. If you have mastered this practise your joins. Can you write all your capital letters and all your lower case letters? Read this passage out for your child to write. Do they remember all the Mr Marker features as well as remembering correct letter formation?

'On Friday Mrs May and the boys and girls went to the shops. They were learning about their village. There were lots of different shops. Some sold meat, some sold bread, some sold sweets and some sold everything. It was great fun being out and about!'

Phonics – Today we are going to revise all the alternatives for the ‘ue’ phoneme. Start with phonics play flashcard challenge. Then move onto the ‘ue’ powerpoint presentation. We you get to the sentences with the missing words, can the children guess and then write the word that they thinks fills the gap. Were they correct?

Maths – Today we are learning to compare two digit numbers. The children have already learned the terms greater than, less than and equal to and the signs <  >  =. There is a power point to recap this which you can use first. Then move onto the second powerpoint which compares the numbers in different forms and ways. Finally complete the activity sheet.

Topic – Follow your Joe Wicks exercise plan. Start with a warm up. Do each activity for 30 seconds with a 30 second rest. Then repeat each activity for 1 minute with a 30 second rest between. End with a cool down.

As you have worked so hard you can choose what you would like to do for a 30 minute golden time. (Your parents must agree to it though!)

Have a great weekend and I will see you next week.

Stay Safe

Mrs Lloyd
