Today we are learning to read and spell the tricky words - the and to. Please start by practising quick recall of all of the phonemes learnt so far - s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, f, l, ll, ss, j, v, w, x, y, z, qu. You can use the flashcards on the main page.
Next we would like you to look at the tricky words the and to. Practise saying the sounds in order and then writing them down. Can you find these words in any books at home?
Finally we would like you to have a go at making an 'I can' book. Using the book provided see if you can write some 'I can' sentences e.g. I can run to mum. I can dig. I can kick. I can hum. I can hop. I can hug. I can jog. I can visit. I can fix the box. I can mix. I can zip. I can yell. I can quack.
