Maths
Maths is a very important part of our school curriculum and emphasis is placed on the children achieving and understanding mathematical processes, concepts and skills. Lessons are presented in an interesting and enjoyable way, allowing the children to actively participate in the learning process, thus creating a sense of achievement and confidence. Mental calculations are encouraged and developed before formal written methods to ensure children understand the concepts and can use efficient methods to solve problems. The children are given the opportunity to use and apply mathematics in real life situations.
