Safeguarding is therefore at the heart of all that we do and we realise that a child needs to feel safe to enable them to achieve their best. We strive to achieve this.

Our school is committed to safeguarding children and maintaining a vigilant and safe environment. Everyone has a responsibility to act without delay to protect children. The school seeks to work in partnership with families and other agencies to improve the outcomes for children who are vulnerable or in need. We do this through child protection, health care plans, health and safety, safety on educational visits, pastoral support and much more.

If we have any concerns about a child or young person in our school, the information is shared immediately with our Designated Safeguarding Lead Mrs Sandra Lamond and/or Deputy Safeguarding Lead Mrs Victoria Lloyd (contact details below)  This may lead to a referral to Staffordshire Children's Advice and Support Service (SCASS) or staff/parents can refer directly on 0300 111 8007 (option 1)
