Wednesday 12th February Year 3 will have the opportunity to participate in a free sustainability workshop. This workshop centers on ocean pollution and the critical role of recycling in protecting our marine ecosystems. Through hands-on activities, participants will explore the impact of waste on our oceans and discover innovative ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle.
This is a topic we will be learning about more in Summer term.
As part of the workshop the children will meet the author of 'Wendy Wanderlust' ( Jess Mills) who will guide them through the story, ' Wendy Wanderlust wakes up in Cavo Graco'. There is an opportunity to purchase Jess's wonderful books using the following link.
When entering details just put child’s name and sending address as the school address, at checkout they can enter the code: SCHOOL and that will waive the shipping costs and I will bring any books along on the day.
Photographs will be taken for promotional purposes. Children whose parents have requested not to have photos taken will NOT be included in these. If you do not want your child included in any photographs please email swans@stmarystchad.org to inform us.
Also, please can we request any bottle caps, toilet rolls and plastic bags of different colors to be brought into school in the next week ready for Wednesday's workshop.
