Welcome to St Mary and St Chad CE (VC) First School
We are a happy and friendly school, with lots going on. This website aims to give you a taster of the school, as well as providing regular updated information for both parents and pupils.
St. Mary and St Chad CE(VC) First School is in the centre of the village of Brewood in South Staffordshire and caters for children aged 3 to 9 years old. We have close links with Brewood Church which is across the road from our school and Brewood Middle School which most of our children move to in Year 5. In our recent SIAMS inspection(Jan 2016) we were rated outstanding at meeting the needs of all pupils.
We have an Early Years Unit comprising of a Governor run Nursery and Reception class who use an outside play area. There are four other spacious classrooms, a hall, library area, kitchen area for the children to use, creative area and additional learning areas. The playground also has a Multi Use Games Area (MUGA), an adventure play area and traversing wall. The School Council and Eco-Committees work actively on developments in the school . We have 150 children on roll and we are part of a collaboration of local schools who work together providing a sound educational journey from 3 years to 18 years. Use the link below to find out more.
