A huge thank you to the staff in Brewood Co-op who are helping to raise money for our school. Each year, Midcounties Co-op have a fundraising campaign for local organisations and this year they have selected our school. Thanks to Tracey who stood for four hours in tomatoes staying silent!
School Council have decided to mark Children in Need a non-uniform day alongside a design and wear a Children in Need badge competition. The badge can be any shape but no larger than A5 (half an A4 sheet). There will be a prize for one winner in each class. Please bring a cash donation to school on Friday 17th November. Thank you.
You may be aware from media coverage that the NEU has declared strike action which will
take place on Wednesday 1st February 2023. The strike is happening because of a national
dispute between the unions and the government over teachers pay and not because of any
issues at our school. Our school WILL BE OPEN on this day so please send in your child as normal.
Please note that although St Mary & St Chad First School is part of the Penk Valley Academy Trust, there may be differences as to how other schools are affected by this strike action.
This is due to variations in, for example, the number of teachers who are members of a particular union in each school.
