Black Country Museum October 2025

On Monday 13th October Puffins class went on their first school trip to the Black Country Museum. They had a fantastic time looking at homes in the past and comparing them to their homes. Take a look at the pictures below to see what they did.

Kitchens looked very different. Cooking was done on a range. It heated the water and the iron too! Bathtime was once a week in a tin bath in front of the range. Cleanest went first!

School Life was very different. Every day hands and nails were checked to see if they were clean.

Nail varnish was NOT allowed!

...and spending your two pennies on sweets instead of giving it to the teacher was a more serious crime!

There was some fun! We learnt a new song.

No internet for the shopping.

We had a great day out and found out even more about life in the past.
