Hello and welcome to EAGLES CLASS 2025-2026
I hope you are looking forward to returning to school after the summer holidays. We are very much looking forward to seeing you. I am sure you will have lots of questions so below I have tried to predict what those questions may be and try to answer them.
What time do I come to school and where do I go to?
Your arrival time will be from 8:45. At 8.55 the gates will locked. You will need to enter the school through the hall in a morning, take your coat/lunch box to your locker by walking through the Nest. Then, walk down to the classroom.
Dismissal will be through the hall door at 3:15. Please wait by the playground area and I will dismiss your child to you as soon as I see you. Please be patient as we dismiss the children it takes a little be of time to make sure every child is safely dismissed to the adult who is collecting them. If you need to speak to me/us please wait until all child have been dismissed. Thanks
What do I need to bring?
As little as possible. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BRING A RUCKSACK.
On the first day you will need to bring
- pencil case. See the link below for what you need in your pencil case. Your pencil case will stay in school.
- water bottle
- coat (weather dependent)
LUNCH: Children can select a school lunch (paid via parentpay) or bring their own packed lunch. (KS2)
What about PE?
We will be doing PE on a Tuesday and Friday during the Autumn Term. On these days you will need to wear your PE kit for school all day. You will come to school in your PE kit and go home in your PE kit. You will need to wear a white T-shirt, navy shorts with your school jumper and navy track suit bottoms/leggings or a school tracksuit. Trainers that you can fasten independently are to be worn on your feet as PE may be outside. You will also need your SWIMMING KIT every Friday this term.
What will happen at playtime and lunchtime?
Our playtime will be 10:35am and our MUGA and adventure equipment day will be on a Thursday. Our lunchtime will be from 12 noon until 1:00pm. You will have lunch in the hall and then play outside on the playground.
Who will be my teachers and what will the classroom be like?
Your teachers and teaching assistants will be myself, Mrs Jackman, Mrs Ward and Mrs Shackleton. Mrs Lamond will teach Y4 Religious Education, computing and take you swimming each week. You can see pictures of your new classroom below.
We hope this answers some of your questions. You will feel a little nervous and that is completely understandable but we will do our best to help you to feel comfortable and happy.
See you soon,
Mrs Jackman
