This week we have been learning the new digraphs - ow and oi. We have also learnt the new trigraph - ear. Please note that there are no Jolly Phonics Cartoonito sheets for 'ow' and 'ear', however we do use actions for these phonemes. For 'ow' we use one pointy finger like a needle and prick the corresponding finger on the opposite hand as we say 'ow'. For 'ear' we simply use a pointy finger to point to our ear. Please complete the sheet below for 'oi' and also practise forming 'ow' and 'ear' in a joined style.
We will also be working on reading the tricky word - you.
Below you will find some activities to support this learning at home. Good luck!
