Hi Puffins,

We have a special secret mission for you. On Sunday 14th of March it will be Mothering Sunday. This is a special day set aside to express love, respect and thanks to mother's. This is a special event in the year, which we usually celebrate together with a special church service. Sadly this year, that will not be possible, but don't worry, we have a plan. We need your help.........

Please could you find an A4 piece of paper or card. Next we need you to take a close look at your mummy. Then using whatever you have access to at home we would like you to create a portrait of your mummy. This will be a close up picture of mummy, so you will need to think about what she looks like and then draw her head and shoulders but nothing else. You could use felt tipped pens, bright colouring pencils or paint, just try to make it bright! Make sure your paper is portrait and not landscape.

Next we need you to send us a close up picture of you, holding the portrait of your mummy. Hold your portrait close to your face but do not cover it. Send it to puffins@stmarystchad.org by Monday 22nd February and then wait to see what happens next. The whole school hopes to share these as a lovely Mother's Day surprise.
