Hello and welcome to Kingfishers Class,

I hope you are looking forward to returning to school on 7th September. I am very much looking forward to seeing you and can't wait to get you moving forward in the next part of your learning journey. I am sure you will have lots of questions so below I have tried to predict what those questions may be and try to answer them. 

What time do I come to school and where do I go to? 

Your arrival time will from 8:45 and you must be in school for 8:55. You will need to follow the route shown in the video and come to through the Year 2 door by the car park. Once you come into class there will be an activity for you to do each morning. I will be on the door to show you where to go and greet you and your parents each day. 

What do I need to bring? 

As little as possible. DO NOT NEED TO BRING A RUCSACK.

On the first day you will need to bring

- pencil case (just with felts, crayons) See the link page for what you need in your pencil case. Your pencil case will stay in school. 

- water bottle

- coat

What about PE? 

We will be doing PE on a MONDAY and WEDNESDAY. On these days you will need to wear your PE kit for school all day. You will come to school in your PE kit and go home in your PE kit. You will need to wear  a white T-shirt, navy shorts with your school jumper and navy track suit bottoms/leggings or a school tracksuit. Trainers that you can fasten are to be worn on your feet.

PLEASE COME IN UNIFORM ON THE 7TH SEPTEMBER AS IT IS OUR FIRST DAY BACK.

PE will commence on Monday 12th  September.

What will happen at playtime and lunchtime? 

Our playtime will be at 10:40am and will be a mixed play with all year groups. Our lunchtime will be from 12noon until 1:00pm. You will have 2 hot choices or a selection of cobs and we will eat our lunch in the hall at a designated time. After we will go out to play in the playground.

Who will be my teachers and what will the classroom be like? 

Your teachers and teaching assistants will be Mr Smith and Mrs Dudley. You can see pictures of us on the link page. I am putting the final touches to your new classroom and I will post the photos as soon as it is ready. 

I hope this answers some of your questions. You will feel a little nervous and so will me and Mrs Dudley!!
