This week we will be celebrating Chinese New Year. At home you could pretend to role-play taking an order in a Chinese restaurant. We have provided a sample menu that you could share together at home. Maybe a grown up could place an order and you could have a go at writing the words on the food order.
Remember to sound out the words carefully. Robot talk each word and write the sounds that you can hear in order. Try to be as independent as possible.
As an extension task, you may like to have a go at making a fortune cookie with support from an adult. You could also research fortune cookies and the messages inside. Your challenge is to write a fortune to hid inside a fortune cookie. We have attached some sample fortunes for support.
