This week we have been learning the phonemes - ck, e, u, r. Please note, last week we learnt 'c' and 'k' as individual sounds, this week we talked about 'ck' as one sound also. Please click on the attachments below to practise letter formation and complete the challenges on the 'Jolly Phonics - Cartoonito' sheets. We have also added some tricky word cards. These are words which the children need to learn to read from sight, you could have a look in some books at home and see if you can spot any of these words. As a final challenge we have added some sentences for reading. These sentences have words in which contain the phonemes that we have covered so far, encourage the children to point to each sound as they say it and then support them in trying to blend the words for reading.
