How did your science experiments go yesterday. Did all of your things dissolve? Did you find a difference between the hot and cold water?
Today we are going to continue planning our wedding, using money and then we are going to think about what technology is. I have checked all your bug club reading books and there are lots for each of you to read.

English: Today we are going to identify who traditionally makes speeches at a wedding and what they would say. Work through the activity sheet together deciding what the different people would say. Don't forget to come up with a good joke for the bestman. The last bestman in school said:

Phonics/ spelling:Today we are going to continue to practise turning singular into plural. Can the children remember what the two plural endings from yesterday were? What did the words have to end in to add -es? (ch sh x z ss s) No help today can they write both the singular and plural versions of the nouns?
Maths: Today we are going to learn to count in 2p, 5p and 10p. Recap on the different coins from yesterday. Which is the smallest and which is the largest. Again if you are at home you may want to use real coins. Or practise identifying the coins by completing the early bird work.(Not essential). Get out 3x 2ps. How much have I got? Are the children identifying the value of the coin or the number of coins? Repeat with 3x 5ps and 3x 10ps. Now work through the powerpoint, practising counting in 2s, 5s and 10s. Now can the children make an amount using only certain coins? Pick a work to practise counting the amount and then pick another worksheet (near the end of the PDF)to practise making an amount.
Topic: Today we are going to learn the definition of technology and recognise it in our environment. Work through the instructions. If you are at home you may want to go for a walk and take pictures of technology in our environment if you are in school this will not be possible! Discuss what you see. Now complete the activity sheet draw pictures of the technology and where they have found it.
Finish the day with some quiet reading.
