How is everyone? Well you need to have your Mr Markers to the ready today because you are going to do some fantastic writing for me. We are also going to be focusing on the features of clocks and  how the interests you have now, can influence the job you get as an adult. So here we go...

English: Today we are going to retell the story of 'Room on the Broom' using adjectives and conjunctions. Follow your story plan and start by introducing your character and setting. Then move to the beginning of the story, the problem, resolution and end. When you have finished read through your work and check that you have remembered all your Mr Marker features.

Spellings: Today we are going to reinforce our understanding of the prefix un-. Pick a warm up activity from the powerpoint to complete and then work through the activity sheet.

Maths: Today we are going to learn the features of a clock. What is a clock what does it do. There has been a clock up all year? How can we use it to tell the time? Look at the position of the numbers and the length of the hands. Where are the hands fixed? Do the hands move around the clock at the same time? Create a clock face. Label the hour hand and the minute hand.

Topic: Today we are going to learn how our interests can influence the job we get when we are older? Have you ever thought about what job you would like to do when you are all grown up? What things do you like doing now? Can you believe when I was little I used to play schools. My auntie is a teacher and in the holidays I used to go into school with her and make things and pretend it was my classroom. It is no wonder I became a teacher. What do you like to do? What are you interested in? Discuss these things as you work through the power point and then complete the activity.
