Home Learning Wk Bg 30-03-2020

Hi everyone, we hope you are keeping safe and well. and well done to all those who have made fantastic rainbows and put them in your windows.

This week it would be fantastic if you could make or paint or colour a picture of the sunshine to go in your windows.

We will look out for them as we take our daily exercise.

Here are some more activities you could do at home this week:

  • Take a walk around your garden and look for signs of spring.
  • Can you make a list by drawing pictures  of all the signs of spring you have spotted in your garden?
  • Can you feed the birds that come in to your garden? Put out a saucer of stale bread crumbs.
  • How many different birds can you count as they come to feed?
  • Can you use the muscles in your hands and fingers to make some spring flowers or little birds with play dough?

Homemade Play dough recipe

  • 8 tbsp flour
  • 2 tbsp table salt
  • 60ml warm water
  • food colouring
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil

1. Mix the flour and salt in a large bowl. in a separate bowl mix together the water, a few drops of food coloring and the oil.

2.Pour the coloured water into the flour mix and bring together with a spoon.

3. Dust a work surface with a little flour and turn out the dough. Knead together for a few minutes to form a smooth, pliable dough. If you want a more intense colour you can work in a few extra drops of food colouring.

4. Store in a plastic sandwich bag (squeeze out the air) in the fridge to keep it fresh.
