AIM HIGH BELIEVE, FLY HIGH ACHIEVE

Thursday 4th June 2020

More amazing science. That's fantastic Alice.

Gosh isn't it chilly!

Well good morning to you all. I hope you are all having a good week. Well I bet you are desperate to find out what your learning is for today!

English - Today we are doing a reading comprehension. It is all about split digraphs. Ca you read it independently and answer the questions. Don't forget your bug club reading too.

Phonics - Today we are looking at the alternative ways to write the 'oa' grapheme. Start by playing a speed challenge or flashcards from phonics play. Then how many different ways can you make oa? Look at the pictures. Can you spell the words correctly?

Maths - Problem solving for tens and ones. Tell the children you have three coins. Only using 10p and 1p what is the most they can have? What is the least they can have? Could they have any other amounts? Can they think of a number greater than 70 with 6 ones? Work through the activity sheet.

PSHE - Today we are going to learn to identify the star qualities in ourselves and others. Work through the powerpoint together and then complete the sheet.

The children Puffins A have decided that they are 'Rainbow Teddy Kingdom'. The children in Puffins B are the 'Kind Kingdom'. Choose either kingdom and create a flag that you think best represents the Kingdoms at this time. Be imaginative.

Have a good day and I will speak to you tomorrow.

Take care.

Mrs Lloyd
