ENGLISH

Yesterday's lesson looked at the features needed when we write an EXPLANATION TEXT.

Can you remember the features we colour coded yesterday?

If not, then go back and look at yesterday's power point.

 

WHEN YOU ARE READY TO BEGIN:

Today, we are going to be writing an explanation text all about TEETH.

You are going to use your science learning about teeth to explain to your reader all about the different types of teeth.

 

YOUR WRITING NEEDS TO ENGAGE YOUR READER

Follow the following structure:

  • Think of a suitable question title.
  • Paragraph 1: Write an opening paragraph to hook your readers in.
  • Paragraph 2: ExpLAIN about milk teeth and adult teeth.
  • Paragraph 3: Write a paragraph explaining to your reader about the different teeth names.
  • Paragraph 4: Explain about the different jobs the different teeth do.
  • Paragraph 4: Explain about the importance of looking after your teeth.
  • Paragraph 5: Write a concluding paragraph to you explanation text.
  • Add some fun facts ( look online)
  • Add a diagram or some pictures.

Watch the teaching video and complete the activity sheets.

 

SWIMMING

This afternoon, we are swimming.

As you can't come today crying,  design a WATER SAFETY poster.

Your poster can focus on SWIMMING POOLS, CANALS, RIVERS, SEA....or all of these. You can decide!

Make you poster bright and colourful to catch people's attention.

You can complete you deign by hand or use some fancy computer skills.
