AIM HIGH BELIEVE, FLY HIGH ACHIEVE

Monday 8th June 2020

Here we go. Another Monday and another list from Mrs Lloyd!

Hi Everyone and welcome another week of learning in kingdoms and at home.

I hope you had a lovely weekend and that you are ready to tackle another week. Remember to keep you bug club reading going and your practise of the year 1 (or year 2) common exception words.

There is lots planned for you today. Take a look.

English - Today we are going to learn about weddings. What are weddings and how are they different in different cultures and religions? Look at the powerpoint of weddings. How are they the same and how are they different. Cut the different pictures out and stick them under the correct religion. Can you remember what each picture signifies?

Phonics - Today we are going to revise all the ear alternatives. Read independently (or with an adult) the ear phoneme spotter story. Underline all the words that contain the ear phoneme. Can you read them all? Now read the real and nonsense words. Colour to sort them.

Maths - Today we are learning to reason and problem solve by comparing numbers. This builds on the work you did on Friday using <  >  =. Work through the powerpoint together discussing how you would solve the different problems. Where would you start? When you are confident move onto the activity sheet. Go straight to the challenge if you want.

Topic - Today you are going to create fireworks in a glass. Follow the instructions and see what happens. Draw you findings.

Have a great day.

Take care.

Mrs Lloyd
