Assessment is an integral part of the high quality teaching and learning that takes place in our school and our collaboration of schools. Our primary aim is that effective assessment helps teachers and children plan their next steps in learning. It also helps us to inform parents what they can do to help with their child's educational journey. Our assessment processes also helps us to compare our schools with other schools and against National benchmarks. Our criteria of assessment fits in with the National Curriculum. We aim to provide parents and pupils with a rich, qualitative profile of what has already been achieved and what they need to do next. We inform parents and pupils of whether their child is working towards, working at or at greater depth of the national expected standard. In addition to this, we recognise and celebrate all other achievements including sport, art and performance as well as good learning skills.
